Yeouch it’s HOT!!!

Where I am, about 30 miles from NYC, it is scorching and I hear it will be worse tomorrow. Since my livingroom and bedroom have window air conditioners we have managed to stay pretty cool but it’s definately going to be an indoor day. My boys (ages 2 and 5) would be thrilled to be out in thier little pool but if they go out then so does mommy. Blech. I just hope the electricity stays on. It is not uncommon to have brown outs in the hot weather here in the burbs but we are way more fortunate than some parts of the City. I feel terrible for those in Queens that have been affected by the recent problems with the long term power outages.

I have taken the oportunity of staying home and quiet to keep working on my current projects. I turned the heel of my little sock and my 5 year old can’t wait to wear it. I don’t know that he has figured out, yet, that he needs two of them haha.

I also started to shape the arms on the back of my Pinup Queen sweater. It seems a little odd to be working on a sweater when its over 100 degrees out but hey, why not. Not enough progress to post a new picture. Maybe tonight if I can get the back finished.

Going back and forth between the sweater and the sock is crazy. The size 7 needles feel like logs in my hands after the size 1 DPNs.

I guess that’s about it for now. Going to continue to think cool thoughts now.
