Take a Deep Breath
Ok so I know that I’m not the only one anxiously awaiting an invitation into Ravelry. FreckleGirl  just posted on her blog that there are over 4500 people on the list. I think the response to the site is way more than they ever expected so quickly. My point? We all just need to take a deep breath and get back to the knitting that we are neglecting while refreshing the Ravelry page. If all 4500 people were to rush in to the site and start posting thier projects and stash and everything else EVERYONE would end up locked out so it’s best if we just stop whining and be patient. I’ve heard about the state of the Loopy Ewe website when an update is made. Well this would be way worse. I don’t know the state of thier web hosting but I expect that a site that is just starting out isn’t exactly going to have 3 or 4 dedicated servers to handle the traffic that will, no doubt, rush to the site if it were opened up to everyone right now.
So that’s my perspective. It will not stop me from being impatient but it will keep me from complaining!

so, i’m one of the whiners. mostly because i have a complex where i think the world revolves around me, and so if i haven’t gotten a ravelry invite yet, then they must be intentionally snubbing me.
that, or the world is shortly to end, as it has stopped it’s orbit around my ego.
i will offically stop whining now, however, as my ego has been dealt the crushing blow that 4500 people think they are as cool as me, and are getting their invites BEFORE me.
(i actually should have figured on so many people wanting invites, but had blocked that out of my brain. i will attempt to be more patient!)
