Catching up….again
It would seem that I’m much better about dealing with backend issues related to my blog, and others that I work on, than I am with actually posting so here is another catch up post.
I got some more yarn love from a friend. It’s so much fun to get packages!
First, Great Adirondack Soxie in the Beach House colorway
Next, Socks that Rock Silkie Socks in the Mystic Kelp colorway
They are so beautiful, I’m afraid to use them!
I’m totally set on yarn for the Summer of Socks KAL!
Ravelry!
I got an invite to Ravelry and it will be totally worth the wait for those of you that havn’t gotten in yet. It is a great site as it stands right now and they have lots of improvements on the board so it is going to get better and better!
I couldn’t take the pain of knitting the Regia bamboo garter rib socks that I’ve been slaving over. It finally got through my head that fingering weight yarn should not be working up at 10 stitches to an inch and that I should not have been using size 0 needles!!! So I put them aside and started a new pair. This time using size 2 needles and Lisa Souza Sock! in the Mars Quake colorway. I’m doing the RPM Pattern from Knitty
I have a friend visiting and i’m working on the [We Call Them Pirates] hat for her using Lion Brand Microspun in black and fuscia. I love the way it is coming out except….I, once again, used needles that were much too small so the first attempt(pictured below) is a very small hat that does not even fit my 3 year old. So I went up a couple sizes and started again. I think the hat might fit an adult size head this time around
Pictures of the new one to come in a later post.
Last, but not least, I wanted to post a photo of my husband’s knitting. He is doing quite well, I think!
That’s about it for tonight. Hopefully I will be able to do some more regular posting soon.

Congratulations on getting DH to knit. It looks good! I love the Silkie Socks Mystic Kelp yarn. It’s going to be yummy to knit with.
